Akai MPC Professional

Akai MPC Professional

The Akai MPC series of tools are a hands down must have for anyone who wants to make beats.

Almost any producer that you have heard of uses some version of the Akai Professional product line and most likely they own a couple of them. Dr Dre. has 5 MPC 3000s lined up in a row in his studio because he doesn't like to switch disks.

Akai Pro products have become a staple of modern music. MPC sequencing samplers have basically changed the way that beats are made by allowing digital samples to become the source for composition. Akai is the leader of digital technology.

What does it do?
The Akai MPC basically does your sequencing, rather than use a computer. It does not come preloaded with sound, but instead you upload your own sounds. So you do not have to worry about sounds getting dated because you provide the sounds. Once you create a rap beat instrumental you then transfer it to something external.
