Akai MPC 2000XL
The Akai MPC 2000XL is the second edition of the MPC series. Below are the features.
1) Improved Akai MPC design
The Akai MPC 2000 features the MPC's legendary groove and feel and has 10 times more resolution for non-quantized live sequencing. The Akai MPC also has a great feel, pressure sensitive and velocity pads for expressive programming with more pad blanks. It also features a friendly and intuitive user interface.
2) Extensive connectivity
- Internal Multi-Card Flash drive supporting smart media, SD card, muti media card, memory stick, compact flash & micro drive.
- Up to 10 analog outputs, plus stereo digital I/O with the optional IB-M208P expansion board
- Flexible synchronization capabilities: MIDI clock, MTC, MMC
- SMPTE Time Code option to synchronize with tape machines (IC-M2TC)
3) Compatibility
The Akai MPC 2000XL supports WAV files and is compatible with the Roland, EMU and Akai CD-ROM libraries.
4) Extensive sound control
- Extensive sample editing that includes cut and paste, time stretch, slice, resampling etc., with waveform display
- Dynamic resonant low-pass filters and envelope generator for each of the 32 voices
- Optional internal multi-FX processor
Drumpads
The drum pads have 4 pad blanks, 16 levels for velocity and tuning, track mute and next sequence features for live performance, 16 velocity and pressure sensitive pads, automated pad mixer with level and pan, and note variation slider controls pitch, cutoff, level, attack and decay.
